BayesiaLab provides you with a complete laboratory for handling bayesian networks. BayesiaLab enables you to automatically find unknown relations, full of information (data mining) in your data.
In this way, you can transform tables that are difficult to decipher into a very meaningful graph! You can also directly formalize your business expertise in BayesiaLab, thanks to a set of functions and intelligent wizards. Finally, thanks to an original toolbox, you will be able to take advantage of this new knowledge by using models in an interactive mode, testing scenarios, learning action policies, etc. For you, BayesiaLab is a guarantee of obtaining the best knowledge representation in order to make the best decisions.
BayesiaLab is a powerful desktop application (Windows/Mac/Unix) for knowledge discovery, data mining, analytics, predictive modeling and simulation - all based on the paradigm of Bayesian networks. Bayesian networks have become a very powerful tool for deep understanding of very complex, high-dimensional problem domains, ranging from bioinformatics to marketing science. BayesiaLab is the world’s only comprehensive software package for learning, editing and analyzing Bayesian networks. It provides perhaps the easiest way to practically apply artificial intelligence tools, thus transforming and, more importantly, massively accelerating research workflows. For hundreds of years, the huge, secretive collection of manuscripts remained mostly unseen by all but the most rarified of collectors. After Leonardo's death in France, writes the British Library, his student Francesco Melzi “brought many of his manuscripts and drawings back to Italy.
Melzi’s heirs, who had no idea of the importance of the manuscripts, gradually disposed of them.” Nonetheless, over 5,000 pages of notes “still exist in Leonardo’s ‘mirror writing’, from right to left.” In the notebooks, da Vinci drew “visions of the aeroplane, the helicopter, the parachute, the submarine and the car. It was more than 300 years before many of his ideas were improved upon.”. WHAT ARE GEOGRAPHICAL TAUTOLOGIES? When a place name is redundant. For example, in Spanish, Los Angeles means “The Angels”, so the baseball team The Los Angeles Angels actually means “The The Angels Angels”.
The Gobi means desert in English. Therefore Gobi Desert translates to “Desert Desert” The infographic below shows the same thing, but with geographical locations instead of sports teams compared. HOW DO THESE TAUTOLOGIES COME ABOUT? History and different languages. The main geographic tautologies in English occurred when European colonizers or explorers combined a geographical term with a local word for the area.
Often these would coincide, as they were being named after the same geographical feature, and that causes redundancy. WHAT’S IN THIS INFOGRAPHIC?
With the exception of Pendleton Hill, Connecticut (which was too interesting to resist), included are only the major areas most people have heard of. Orange designates deserts, green denotes land, and blue is for water. This interactive geoengineering map, prepared by ETC Group and the Heinrich Boell Foundation, is an attempt to shed light on the worldwide state of geoengineering by showing the scope of research and experimentation. There is no complete record of weather and climate control projects so this map is necessarily partial. It builds on an earlier map of Earth Systems Experimentation published in 2012.
That original map documented almost 300 projects and experiments related to the field of geoengineering. Five years later over 800 such projects can be identified. These include projects in Carbon Capture, Solar Radiation Management, Weather Modification and other approaches. The film follows the story of programming prodigy and information activist Aaron Swartz. From Swartz's help in the development of the basic internet protocol RSS to his co-founding of Reddit, his fingerprints are all over the internet.
I think the developers are just being greedy. If you can find a better free ringtone app with at least this many recognizable tones please let me know. Polybushing I be had this app since last summer & downloaded many ringtones by just fallowing the simple directions, sure you gotta go through iTunes but I never paid a dime. Yes there are an insane amount of pop up ads, yes it’s misleading, but just try to steer clear of the prompts to subscribe. The pop ups should pay them plenty without a subscription fee. Free sms app download.
But it was Swartz's groundbreaking work in social justice and political organizing combined with his aggressive approach to information access that ensnared him in a two-year legal nightmare. It was a battle that ended with the taking of his own life at the age of 26. Microsoft office. Aaron's story touched a nerve with people far beyond the online communities in which he was a celebrity. This film is a personal story about what we lose when we are tone deaf about technology and its relationship to our civil liberties.
This post is part of a blog series on historical data vis titled “Data Trails. Snapshots from the history of data visualisation” and originally appeared over at my friends’ from Idalab, a Berlin-based specialist on data science and machine learning. There is a very basic joy in roaming through atlases and in looking at maps.
Atlases are rich collections of places, and if there is one thing they can do it is making you travel around the world, to places near and far. Cartography – an age-old discipline combining science and art – has created a unique way of looking at our planet, of flying over continuous landscapes and endless oceans. The 19th century was a golden age of atlases. Beautiful pieces for the educated household were printed in many different countries.
Many of them feature one very special type of map: the comparative tableau showing the longest rivers and highest mountains of the world. Exploring flows between origins and destinations visually is a common task, but can be difficult to get right. In R, there are many tutorials on the web that show how to produce static flow maps (see here, here, here, and here, among others). Over the past couple years, R developers have created an infrastructure to bridge R with JavaScript using the htmlwidgets package, allowing for the generation of interactive web visualizations straight from R.
I’d like to demonstrate here a few examples for exploratory interactive flow graphics that use this infrastructure.

$3500 BayesiaLab!? Subject: Bayesian Networks & BayesiaLab 5.0 From: 'Conrady Applied Science, LLC' Bayesian Networks in Theory and (now) in Practice Bayesian networks have emerged as a new form of probabilistic knowledge representation through the seminal works of UCLA Professor Judea Pearl. Over the last 25 years the properties of Bayesian networks have been fully validated in the world of academia and they are now becoming powerful and practical tools for 'deep understanding' of very complex, high-dimensional problem domains. Their computational efficiency and inherently visual structure make Bayesian networks attractive for exploring previously intractable problems. BayesiaLab as an Interdisciplinary Tool Today, Bayesian networks are transforming all kinds of research and BayesiaLab makes this new paradigm accessible to practitioners in a wide range of disciplines, including market research, business intelligence, risk management and strategic planning. BayesiaLab is unlike many other data mining tools, which primarily generate statistical devices for predictive purposes. Much rather, the results generated by BayesiaLab are specifically intended for structural interpretation.
BayesiaLab thus becomes a tool for conveying causal knowledge for deliberate reasoning, which allows decision makers to correctly weigh their options, even when confronted with high degrees of uncertainty. As a result, BayesiaLab takes on a central role in effectively communicating deep understanding within an organization. Bayesian Networks for Your Desktop The new 5.0 release of BayesiaLab is the world’s most comprehensive software package for learning, editing and analyzing Bayesian networks. It s perhaps the easiest way to apply artificial intelligence tools for data mining and knowledge discovery in data sets, such as consumer surveys or CRM data. BayesiaLab leverages all of the powerful properties of Bayesian networks and integrates them into a single desktop application. BayesiaLab is a very user-friendly Java-based program, which is compatible with virtually all operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, and UNIX (Linux, Solaris). A free 30-day evaluation version of BayesiaLab 5.0 Professional Edition is available for download:.
Prices for commercial single-user licenses start at USD 3,500/year (Standard Edition) and USD 10,000/year (Professional Edition). Academic Editions and Education Packages are also available. Please email [email protected] for details. All prices are subject to change without notice.
New Tutorial: Driver Analysis & Product Optimization with BayesiaLab This tutorial provides an introduction on how to use Bayesian networks and Probabilistic Structural Equation Models for market research purposes. Probabilistic Structural Equation Models (PSEM) based on machine-learned Bayesian Networks provide an efficient alternative to traditional Structural Equation Models (SEM). With BayesiaLab 5.0, PSEMs can be created through a series of semi-automatic clustering steps, which allows analysts to perform driver analysis extremely quickly, reducing research time from “months to minutes”: Contact: Conrady Applied Science, LLC Authorized Sales and Consulting Partner of Bayesia S.A.S.
